This case study details the implementation of Perpetuuiti’s Disaster Recovery Automation Platform at Indonesia's largest privately-owned bank, founded in 1957. The bank faced significant challenges, including a lack of a comprehensive Disaster Recovery (DR) plan, limited visibility into its DR infrastructure, and the need for automation to reduce Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs). The implemented solution, Continuity Patrol™, orchestrated the automated recovery of critical banking applications across various operating systems. Key features included database replication for high availability, automated Switchover and Switchback workflows, and real-time alert notifications. The project resulted in a 30% reduction in RTO, decreased dependency on Subject Matter Experts, and enabled centralized monitoring of application availability. Additionally, compliance-ready reports aligned with Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK) guidelines were generated, supporting audit and governance requirements. The case study illustrates the effectiveness of the disaster recovery automation in enhancing operational resilience.
