OEM Collaboration with Phoenix for Edge AI Platform

This case study details the collaboration between a well-known computer OEM and Phoenix Technologies in developing a rugged edge AI platform based on NVIDIA's Jetson Xavier NX. The OEM, dissatisfied with previous firmware integration results, sought Phoenix's expertise in Arm-based systems for this project. Phoenix provided essential firmware support, including Linux kernel integration and system integration testing, which contributed to the successful and timely delivery of the project in 2022. The OEM's decision to partner with Phoenix was influenced by their prior relationship and Phoenix's proven track record in firmware development. The study also highlights the challenges faced by the OEM, particularly the need for a reliable firmware partner capable of meeting stringent product standards. Phoenix utilized its PhoenixBoot product to enhance the open-source firmware provided by NVIDIA, ensuring compliance with UEFI and Arm SystemReady standards. This partnership exemplifies the importance of selecting experienced collaborators in technology development.
