Vapor Intrusion Mitigation Services for High School

This document is a technical report detailing the vapor intrusion mitigation services provided for an inner-city high school. The project was initiated in response to the discovery of chlorinated solvents at the property. The initial phase involved public outreach and emergency mitigation to ensure the building was safe for occupancy. The report outlines the design and installation of mitigation systems, along with ongoing operation, maintenance, and monitoring (OM&M). It describes the challenges faced, including ensuring safe indoor air quality and identifying contamination sources while accommodating the school schedule. The report also details the installation of Vapor Sentinel™ Remote Monitoring Systems, which provide continuous monitoring of the mitigation systems to detect performance failures. This system allows for timely repairs, enhancing the safety of the building's occupants. The report concludes with an overview of the monitoring parameters and the benefits of real-time telemetry data for system evaluation and alert notifications.
