French Health Insurance Email Security Implementation

This case study details the implementation of Proxmox Mail Gateway by the French Health Insurance to enhance the security of their email communications. The organization, which has been operational since 1945, processes a significant volume of emails, reaching peaks of over 130,000 per hour. The existing mail gateway was inadequate for their needs, lacking DMARC compliance and efficient tracking capabilities. The project manager, Frédéric Auclair, sought a robust solution that would ensure high availability and performance while being cost-effective. The implementation process involved collaboration with DynFi, a Proxmox Gold partner, who provided technical expertise and support. The deployment included a cluster of nine nodes to handle outgoing SMTP traffic, ensuring resilience and centralized management. The Proxmox API facilitated improved user experience by allowing support teams to trace email send attempts effectively. Overall, the integration of Proxmox Mail Gateway has significantly enhanced the security and efficiency of the French Health Insurance's email communications.
