Powerco Case Study on Programme Visibility Improvement

This case study details how Powerco, New Zealand’s largest dual electricity and gas distributor, improved its programme visibility through the implementation of Psoda. Powerco manages a complex network of over 29,000km of power lines and 6,200km of gas pipes, serving approximately 473,000 customers. The challenge faced by Powerco was the inconsistency in project management practices and disconnected data across multiple projects. To address this, they adopted Psoda to create a unified repository for project data, enhancing visibility and consistency in project management. The initial implementation began with a pilot group of 18 users, which expanded to over 180 users across the organization. The Psoda platform facilitated better resource management, risk identification, and reporting capabilities. Powerco aims to automate 90% of its reporting processes and continues to explore further enhancements in project execution and scheduling management with Psoda.
