This case study outlines the collaboration between Fandom and Pythian during the acquisition of new brands under the Red Ventures umbrella. Fandom, a platform hosting wikis on entertainment topics, faced the challenge of onboarding 130 new users who were previously using different collaboration tools. The primary objective was to migrate these users' data to Google Workspace, Fandom's main collaboration platform, ensuring a smooth transition and integration into the company culture. Pythian, a global IT services provider with a history of working with Fandom, was engaged to facilitate this migration. The process involved determining the necessary data to be migrated, consolidating users' emails, calendars, and contacts into a single Fandom account on Google Workspace, and maintaining communication with the newly acquired employees throughout the migration. The successful migration streamlined communications and collaboration, enhanced productivity, and simplified IT management for Fandom.
