This case study outlines the collaboration between a high-end fashion retailer and Qualitest, aimed at enhancing ecommerce release velocity through automation. The retailer faced challenges with manual regression testing and team misalignment, which hindered their ability to keep pace with rapid ecommerce growth. To address these issues, Qualitest implemented an automation-first strategy, leveraging TOSCA and TDS tools in partnership with Tricentis. The approach focused on restructuring the testing cycle, reducing test cases by over 50%, and increasing testing velocity twofold. Additionally, the implementation of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines ensured quality assurance and defect-free go-lives. The strategic partnership also facilitated better alignment between global teams, particularly between North America and Asia. As a result, the retailer achieved significant improvements in release time and accuracy, with zero critical incidents reported post go-live, demonstrating enhanced quality and process maturity.
