This case study details the transformation of a quality assurance (QA) program for a rapidly scaling organization, facilitated by QualityLogic. The document outlines the initial challenges faced by the client, including the absence of internal QA resources and the reliance on ad hoc testing by developers and project managers. To address these issues, QualityLogic established a foundational QA platform, which involved assigning manual QA resources, documenting test cases, and implementing consistent QA checks. The study describes the transition to automated testing, the establishment of a custom test automation framework, and the integration of QA engineers with developers. Additionally, the case study highlights the shift to an agile, pod-based delivery model, which organized teams around specific applications. The transformation culminated in the establishment of a CI/CD delivery model, complete with a Jenkins CI/CD pipeline and extensive end-to-end testing. The results included improved quality outcomes and the ability to rapidly expand the client's user base.
