This case study details the implementation of a centralized content archive solution by Canal Sur, part of Radio y Television de Andalucia (RTVA), a public broadcasting company in Andalusia, Spain. The organization collaborated with Datos Media Technologies and TSA to design a multi-tiered storage environment using Quantum storage technology. The new system consolidates content from multiple teams, allowing for efficient access and preservation of media files. The solution supports high-resolution formats and is scalable, accommodating the growing volume of content. It enables immediate archiving of broadcast content as it is produced, ensuring the preservation of valuable media. The centralized archive is accessible to geographically dispersed teams, enhancing collaborative production efforts. The implementation process was smooth, with no downtime, and the managed service alleviates the burden of hardware management. This solution not only serves as a broadcast archive but also as a historical asset for the autonomous community of Andalusia.
