Performance Management Transformation at Mortgage Bankers Association

This case study details the implementation of the emPerform performance management platform at the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA). Prior to adopting emPerform, MBA faced challenges with a manual performance management process that relied on Word documents for various stages, leading to disjointed experiences and accountability issues. The search for a new system resulted in the selection of emPerform, which was chosen for its blend of capabilities and affordability. Since its launch in 2020, emPerform has significantly improved MBA's operations by automating tracking and reporting, enhancing accountability, and increasing the quality of feedback. The platform provides a centralized source for performance reviews and feedback, allowing for real-time documentation and communication. The transition to emPerform was supported by the vendor's implementation team, ensuring a smooth changeover. Looking ahead, MBA plans to incorporate 360° multi-rater feedback to further enhance performance evaluations and development planning.
