This case study details how Cleveland Independent School District (ISD) addressed safety concerns through the implementation of EmployeeSafe and Stay Safe. Speak Up! programs. Cleveland ISD, serving over 3,800 students across six campuses, faced challenges related to bullying and violence, compounded by inadequate training for staff and students on responding to threats. The district's previous reporting systems relied on handwritten forms, leading to inefficiencies and delays in incident management. Recognizing the need for a comprehensive safety solution, Cleveland ISD adopted PublicSchoolWORKS EmployeeSafe to enhance staff training and streamline incident reporting. This system assigned staff members online safety courses and ensured compliance through automated notifications. Additionally, Stay Safe. Speak Up! provided students with a confidential platform for reporting incidents, enabling swift responses from administrators. The implementation resulted in improved safety training compliance, reduced administrative inefficiencies, and accelerated response times to incidents, fostering a safer environment for both students and staff.
