Enhancing Campus Security with Raptor Visitor Management

This document is a case study detailing the implementation of Raptor Visitor Management at Henrico County School District. The district, which serves nearly 49,000 students across 75 schools, sought to enhance its visitor management protocols to improve campus safety. The primary objective was to streamline the visitor sign-in process while ensuring that only authorized individuals could access school premises. The Raptor system provides real-time screening against sex offender registries, allowing the district to flag potential threats immediately. The case study outlines how the system has strengthened access control and accountability, with notable instances where it identified individuals on the sex offender registry, necessitating collaboration with law enforcement. The results indicate that the Raptor system has significantly improved security measures and transformed campus safety protocols, ensuring a safer environment for students and staff alike.
