Volunteer Management System Implementation at Visalia Unified School District

This document is a case study detailing the implementation of the Raptor Volunteer Management system at Visalia Unified School District (VUSD) in California. The objective of the case study is to illustrate how VUSD transitioned from a paper-based volunteer management system to a digital platform, enhancing efficiency and organization. Prior to the implementation, the district faced challenges such as disorganized volunteer applications, lost documents, and inconsistent orientation processes. The Raptor system streamlined the application process by linking clearance information with individual volunteer profiles and providing clear visibility of volunteer clearance statuses online. Additionally, the integration of an online orientation video ensured consistent training for all volunteers, saving time for both school personnel and volunteers. The case study highlights the improvements in communication and clarity regarding volunteer clearances, ultimately leading to a more efficient management system for the district's active volunteers.
