This case study details the implementation of an Enterprise Service Agreement (ESA) by Red River for the US Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The VA faced challenges in managing multiple enterprise-level contracts for its IT infrastructure, which included approximately 120,000 IT assets. The need for a streamlined approach led to the establishment of the ESA in 2015, aimed at reducing the number of contracts while ensuring proactive IT support. The ESA provided a single solution encompassing the entire agency with customizable service offerings. Red River, as the prime contractor, delivered comprehensive maintenance and support for Cisco assets, covering critical VA locations. The ESA was designed to simplify administrative burdens and enhance service delivery. Results showed significant growth in the supported infrastructure, with a 68% increase in install base value and a 181% increase in asset count. The success of the ESA led to an expanded agreement in 2019, further enhancing IT service and support for the VA.
