This case study details the collaboration between Reliable Technology Services and Fortinet to enhance the fan experience for the Frisco RoughRiders, a Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers. The document outlines the challenges faced due to an aging technology infrastructure at Riders Field, which was over two decades old and unable to meet modern connectivity demands. Reliable Technology Services conducted a thorough diagnostic phase, revealing the need for a complete network overhaul. The recommended solution involved implementing the Fortinet Security Fabric, which integrated hardware and software to improve connectivity, security, and reliability. The deployment included installing FortiGate firewalls, FortiSwitches, and over 170 FortiAPs throughout the stadium. The results showed a significant increase in network speeds and improved fan connectivity. Additionally, the project involved students from the Frisco ISD Career and Technology Center, providing them with practical experience in a real-world deployment. The case study concludes with a positive outlook for future fan engagement.
