DTCC Implements GreyMatter for Phishing Defense

This document is a case study detailing the implementation of the GreyMatter Phishing Analyzer (GMPA) by the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) to enhance its phishing defense capabilities. The objective of the implementation was to automate phishing workflows, reduce manual analysis time, and improve overall security response times. DTCC faced significant challenges due to the high volume of phishing alerts, which required extensive manual processing by analysts. The GMPA solution enabled automated analysis and remediation of phishing emails, cutting the average investigation time from 15 minutes to just 2 minutes per email. This automation resulted in the saving of over 6,000 hours of manual analysis annually and reduced the mean time to respond (MTTR) to phishing threats to 5 minutes. The integration of GMPA with existing tools allowed for comprehensive threat management and improved operational efficiency, enabling DTCC's security team to focus on proactive defense strategies.
