Breedon Cement Works Inspection Process Transformation

This case study details the transformation of the inspection process at Breedon Cement Works through the implementation of Resco Inspections software. The organization, which is a leading construction material manufacturer in the UK and Ireland, faced challenges with their traditional pen-and-paper inspection methods, including issues with lost inspections and time-consuming write-ups. In 2020, they piloted the Resco Inspections software, which enabled mobile inspections that could be conducted both online and offline. The successful pilot led Breedon to engage HG Technology for full implementation, which included integration with Microsoft business suite and SAP. This integration allowed for efficient data collection and reporting through Power BI dashboards. The new system eliminates repetitive paperwork and enhances the efficiency of routine inspections, significantly improving the inspection process at Hope Works, which operates with over 3,000 pieces of equipment across six inspection teams.
