This document is a systematic literature review that synthesizes evidence from 28 peer-reviewed sources regarding the accountability and governance frameworks of artificial intelligence (AI) in project management. The review addresses three research questions: the accountability mechanisms reported for AI in project management contexts, the comparison of structural dimensions across existing AI governance frameworks, and the identification of implementation gaps that hinder the application of AI ethical frameworks in practice. The methodology follows the PRISMA 2020 guidelines, employing thematic synthesis and comparative analysis to highlight key findings. The review identifies twenty accountability mechanisms primarily related to transparency and human oversight, while also noting inconsistencies in their implementation. Additionally, it reveals eight recurrent implementation gaps, such as the absence of pre-development AI design governance and insufficient integration with the ISO 42001 Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle. The findings emphasize the need for improved governance structures to effectively manage AI's integration into project management processes.
