This article is a research report that conducts a comprehensive analysis of climate change education (CCE) within the frameworks of climate change policy and education policy in Indonesia. The study employs thematic analysis on various policy texts and expert interviews to explore the congruency of CCE in both realms. The analysis reveals significant discrepancies between Indonesia's climate change policy and education policy, highlighting four key themes: the marginalization of climate change education, lack of synergies between relevant policies and stakeholders, predominant economic values, and an optimistic future outlook. The report assesses how Indonesia's approach aligns with global trends in climate change education and identifies critical areas for improvement in integrating CCE within the Indonesian policy landscape. The findings underscore the necessity for coordinated policies to optimize the design and implementation of climate change education, addressing the urgent need for effective educational strategies in response to the climate crisis.
