Automating Core SAP ERP Business Processes with BTP and AI

This document is a case study detailing the collaboration between Resolve Tech Solutions (RTS) and SAP during the 2025 SAP Hackathon. The objective of the project was to develop an intelligent finance automation prototype aimed at addressing the challenges faced by a major home-improvement retailer's finance teams. These teams dealt with high volumes of cash statements and bank transactions, which were time-consuming and prone to errors, ultimately affecting financial accuracy and visibility. The case study outlines how RTS utilized SAP BTP and Generative AI to create a solution that automates financial reconciliation and reporting. Key components of the solution included the use of AI Core for exception detection, seamless integration with S/4HANA, and leveraging HANA Cloud for enhanced data processing. The project was recognized with the “Best BTP & AI Prototype” award, showcasing its innovative approach to financial automation.
