Improving Parts Counting Process with Myrias Software

This document is a case study detailing the implementation of Myrias® Counting Pro software and new counting scale systems by an electronic parts manufacturer in Germany. The objective was to enhance the parts counting process for over 20,000 items, addressing challenges related to variable part counts and mixed weights in orders. The manufacturer required nearly 30 flexible workstations for order picking and incoming part verification. The solution involved integrating Myrias software with a central parts management database, enabling accurate inventory management and streamlined operations. The workstations facilitate both order fulfillment and verification of incoming parts, with features such as barcode scanning and real-time updates on counted pieces. Additionally, Myrias was programmed to prompt operators to reverify weights and counts at customizable intervals. The scalability of Myrias allows for easy expansion to other facilities, ensuring efficient management of the counting process across multiple sites.
