Optimizing Chemical Batching Processes

This document is a case study detailing the implementation of a Myrias software system for optimizing chemical batching processes in a consumer goods manufacturing setting. The objective was to enhance product quality and consistency in adhesive, beauty care, laundry, and home cleaning products. The study outlines the challenges faced by manufacturers, including the need for precise batching to ensure safety and performance consistency across products. It describes how the Myrias recipe batching module was integrated with five 1280 Enterprise® Series weight indicators to enable production operators to efficiently manage batches. The system allows for adjustments based on quality assurance feedback and supports concurrent batching, which improves material management. Additionally, the Myrias software provides traceability to help maintain compliance with product record requirements. The initial implementation at one facility serves as a pilot for potential expansion to other manufacturing sites, demonstrating the scalability of the solution.
