This case study details the development of a high-performance ad server platform for a global Digital Out-of-Home (DOOH) marketplace facing significant operational challenges. The existing infrastructure struggled with manual creative approvals, lacked real-time bidding capabilities, and had fragmented workflows, which hindered campaign activation and scalability. The project aimed to address these issues by creating a microservices-based architecture that supports real-time programmatic capabilities, automates creative delivery, and ensures compliance through a Proof-of-Play reporting system. Key features of the solution include a unified inventory and deal management system, a high-speed auction engine integrated with Demand-Side Platforms (DSPs), and an automated creative workflow that enhances operational efficiency. The implementation resulted in faster campaign activation, improved deal visibility across multiple markets, and a robust compliance dashboard for tracking ad delivery. The platform is designed for global operations, ensuring uninterrupted service and content integrity even during network outages.
