This case study details the network upgrade undertaken by Artemis Hospitals, a multi-specialty medical facility located in Gurgaon, India. Established in 2007, the hospital faced challenges with its existing wired and wireless network, which struggled to meet the demands of modern technology and the increasing use of wireless devices. The chief technology officer, Kapil Tyagi, identified the need for a scalable and reliable network infrastructure to support the hospital's operations and improve patient care. The hospital's requirements included seamless coverage, enhanced switching and Wi-Fi infrastructure, and improved integration with internal and external networks. The selected solutions involved deploying RUCKUS ICX 7850 and ICX 7150 series switches, R750 access points, and SmartZone network controllers. The implementation resulted in increased bandwidth, improved network reliability, and a better overall experience for both patients and staff. The case study concludes with plans for further deployment of RUCKUS solutions across additional hospital buildings.
