This case study details the implementation of a RUCKUS Wi-Fi network solution at Richard Challoner School in Surrey, which is known for its high performance in secondary education. The school faced challenges with its previous Wi-Fi infrastructure, which was inadequate for its 1:1 digital learning scheme, leading to frequent downtimes and connectivity issues. To address these challenges, the school partnered with Simpli-Fi to deploy 85 RUCKUS access points and ICX switches, ensuring reliable coverage for over 1,500 devices. The solution included the RUCKUS SmartZone controller, which enhanced network management and security. Key outcomes of the deployment included improved user experience, strengthened security measures, and reduced IT workload, allowing the technical team to focus on critical tasks. The project was completed in approximately 20 days, with a smooth transition to the new system, significantly enhancing the educational environment for both students and teachers.
