This article presents a technical report that outlines a comprehensive framework for the design, construction, and management of healthy buildings. The framework aims to address the existing gaps in knowledge transfer among stakeholders in the building sector, as well as to provide a general definition of healthy buildings. Developed through an extensive literature review and validated with twelve building case studies across major European climate zones, the framework consists of five dimensions: improving mental and physical health, human-centric design, sustainable construction and management, resilience and adaptability, and empowerment of individuals. Each dimension includes a set of twenty-four indicators and sub-indicators for assessing building projects. The report also discusses the challenges faced in implementing this framework, such as time constraints, data collection costs, and documentation issues. Overall, the framework serves as a guide for practitioners and policymakers to incorporate healthy building principles into their project development and decision-making processes.
