Process Productivity and Efficiency Through Automation

This technical report presents detailed findings from the SAPinsider Benchmark Report on process productivity and efficiency through process automation and intelligence for the year 2024. The report is based on a survey conducted between May and August 2024, involving 118 participants from various geographic regions and organization sizes. The primary objective of the survey was to gather insights on strategies, challenges, and priorities related to business process automation. The findings indicate a significant increase in the perceived importance of process automation, particularly in finance processes such as 'Procure to Pay' and 'Record to Report.' The report outlines the growing emphasis on automation as a critical component of digital transformation, highlighting the need for robust automation strategies to enhance productivity, efficiency, and compliance. Additionally, it discusses the adoption of various automation technologies, including RPA and invoice automation, and the focus on integrating established technologies with emerging solutions to improve organizational agility.
