This case study details the implementation of the SchooLinks platform in the Mead School District, located in Mead, Washington, which serves approximately 10,000 students across 15 schools. The district faced challenges with its previous college and career readiness (CCR) platform, which was deemed insufficient for student needs and engagement. In response, the district initiated a search for a more effective solution, incorporating student feedback into the selection process. After evaluating various platforms, SchooLinks was chosen for its interactive and user-friendly features. Following implementation, there was a notable increase in student engagement, with students utilizing the platform independently. Counselors reported high usage rates, indicating that students found the platform beneficial for their college and career planning. The district plans to expand access to parents and caregivers to further enhance support for students. The case study emphasizes the importance of student input in selecting effective educational tools.
