This case study presents the implementation of patient support services in Phase III studies for Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis managed by Scout Clinical in Russia and Belarus. The studies span 58 weeks and aim to evaluate the effectiveness of a drug in maintaining remission for these patients. Key logistics include providing transportation to and from patient homes and mitigating any out-of-pocket expenses associated with study visits to ensure patient participation. Scout Clinical’s system complies with local data handling and privacy requirements, allowing sponsors and sites to access patient data effectively. The implementation process enabled sites in Russia and Belarus to activate within two days, facilitating travel requests promptly. The Scout team maintained communication to support local language needs and time zone differences, providing regulatory support while ensuring compliance with stringent data privacy laws. The focus on patient logistical needs was critical in preventing participant dropouts due to financial or logistical barriers.
