This case study details the operational challenges faced by Pinalli, a leading Italian beauty and personal care distribution platform, as it sought to optimize its supply chain management. Founded in 1984, Pinalli has expanded to 75 stores across Italy and has recently undergone a majority ownership change to H.I.G. Capital. The study outlines the company's objectives to simplify and manage the complexity of its operations, particularly in light of its growth plans to reach 100 stores by 2026. To address these challenges, Pinalli identified the need for an integrated solution to manage demand planning, purchasing, distribution, and stock monitoring. The sedApta suite was selected for its capability to support these processes. The project was divided into two phases: the first focusing on demand forecasting and procurement planning, and the second on store replenishment. The implementation of this solution is expected to enhance stock control, improve demand planning, and reduce inventory costs, ultimately leading to better decision-making and service levels.
