This case study details the implementation of the SEEBURGER BIS Platform at Mubea, an automotive supplier specializing in lightweight seats. The platform serves as the central integration system for connecting SAP with the shop floor in Just in Sequence (JIS) production. Mubea's integration requirements include 11 workstations with scanning systems and operator guidance, as well as the need for flexibility in scaling and ensuring traceability of components. The SEEBURGER BIS facilitates the processing of approximately 200 critical JIS production orders daily through EDI, ensuring seamless communication with SAP. The study outlines the advantages of this integration, including enhanced production transparency and the ability to meet OEM standards. Future plans for Mubea include further digitalization of production resources, focusing on data analysis to improve productivity and quality. The SEEBURGER BIS Platform is positioned to support both current and future B2B requirements in this evolving landscape.
