This document is a technical report detailing the case study of a mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) wall designed and constructed by Maccaferri S.p.A. in Albania, reaching a height of 40 m. The report outlines the use of GeoStudio software, specifically SLOPE/W, to analyze the global and internal stability of the MSE wall. The objectives include demonstrating the Maccaferri reinforcement library's application in SLOPE/W, illustrating the analysis method for a two-component MSE wall, and systematically analyzing various failure modes. The report describes the construction process, including the use of a Terramesh rock wall system and geogrid reinforcement. It presents numerical simulations considering different scenarios, including seismic loads and various modes of failure. The findings indicate that the introduction of Maccaferri Paralink reinforcement significantly improves the factor of safety of the wall. The report concludes with stability results and convergence plots for the analyses conducted.
