This case study details the implementation of Sensia's Avalon IIoT platform for monitoring LNG retail stations across eight European countries, including the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, Austria, Slovakia, Poland, and the Czech Republic. The primary objective of the platform is to enable centralized monitoring and data integration, addressing the challenges faced by operators due to the isolated nature of existing infrastructure. The Avalon platform facilitates real-time tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs) such as total sales volume, LNG sold, and liquid nitrogen consumption. It integrates data from local HMIs and control PLCs into a centralized cloud-based system, allowing for improved operational oversight. The results of deploying Avalon include a 15% increase in operational efficiency, enhanced resource utilization, and reduced downtime through proactive maintenance alerts. The case study illustrates how Avalon supports the seamless integration of new stations, ensuring scalability and better decision-making for the operator's expanding network.
