This document is a case study detailing the upgrade of the network infrastructure at Curtin University's TL Robertson Library in Perth, Australia. The library, which serves over two million visitors annually, underwent significant renovations to enhance its digital capabilities and support diverse learning styles. The upgrade aimed to create a collaborative and innovative space, incorporating over 5,000 outlets and 150 consolidation enclosures to facilitate future-proofing and ease of maintenance. Siemon was selected as the primary vendor due to its product quality and sustainability credentials. The installation featured advanced solutions like the Z-Plug™ for simplified connections and Z-MAX® category 6A shielded cabling to support high-speed data transfer. The refurbished library now includes various study spaces, a maker space, and enhanced accessibility features, reflecting the university's commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship. This project exemplifies the integration of modern technology in educational environments, ensuring a high-quality experience for students and staff.
