This case study outlines a significant infrastructure project undertaken by Trident Technology Solutions in partnership with Siemon for UNC Health’s Surgical Hospital in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. The primary objective of the project was to create a modern technology infrastructure capable of supporting various applications such as VoIP, PoE, AV, security, and building automation. The installation utilized Siemon’s advanced products, including Category 6 UTP cable, UltraMAX™ outlets, and patch panels, ensuring seamless connectivity and optimal performance. The project faced challenges in familiarizing technicians with the new UltraMAX outlet but ultimately resulted in reduced termination time and increased efficiency. Post-installation testing confirmed the infrastructure's reliability and stability.
