This case study outlines the journey of a global sugarcane refiner, established in 1960, as it transitions to SAP's S/4HANA on AWS. The client, a long-time SAP user, has a complex digital landscape and has been adapting to SAP's shift from on-premise to cloud solutions. The business challenge arose from the growth of the client's operations, which led to disconnects between previously integrated systems across multiple locations. To address this, the client aimed to consolidate various ERP systems into a single source of truth to reduce inefficiencies and costs while enhancing agility. Sierra conducted two BTP Readiness Assessments to develop roadmaps for the client's migration. The results included the identification of over 50 BTP use cases to improve processes such as transport tracking and technician timesheets. Sierra is also positioned to assist in building low-code applications that simplify interactions and integrate disparate datasets, thereby aligning with the client's data strategy and future-proofing their operations.
