This technical report details the concrete production process for the Olympic Athletes’ Village in Paris, France, developed as part of the Grand Paris urban regeneration program. The project, completed within a 15-month timeframe, involved the supply of 134 tonnes of concrete admixtures for approximately 70,000 m³ of concrete. The report outlines the project's requirements, including a 40% reduction in CO2 emissions for the concrete mix, extended work cycles during winter, and the incorporation of 40 different concrete types. Sika® ViscoCrete® admixtures were utilized to meet these specifications, providing flexibility and compatibility with three cement types. The technical team worked closely with contractors to optimize mix designs and ensure performance across varying conditions. This collaboration aimed to achieve the project's environmental goals and structural performance needs, contributing to the development of a sustainable eco-district post-Games.
