This document is a technical report detailing the concrete protection solutions implemented at the Shanghai Chemical Industry Park's wastewater treatment plant. The project focuses on the application of Sikagard®-7000 CR, a waterproofing and concrete protection solution designed for harsh wastewater environments. The report outlines the project requirements, including the need for anti-corrosion protection for various wastewater treatment facilities that handle significant volumes of industrial sewage. The original protection layer of acid-resistant tiles proved challenging due to repair difficulties and weather constraints. Sikagard®-7000 CR, utilizing Xolutec™ technology, offers advantages such as high resistance to abrasion and biogenic sulfuric acid corrosion, making it suitable for severe conditions. The report highlights the benefits of this solution, including cost and time savings, moisture insensitivity, and reduced potential for delays. The project is noted as the first in China to utilize this innovative protection technology, ensuring longer maintenance cycles and lower life cycle costs.
