This document is a case study detailing the WLDP-A Jacket Strengthening project executed by Sika for Pioneer Pegasus S/B in May 2019. The project aimed to enhance the structural integrity of the WLDP-A jacket located in the West Lutong field, Offshore Sarawak, East Malaysia. The jacket, situated at a water depth of 39 meters, required retrospective grouting of main piles to jacket sleeves to ensure safe operation. Inspections revealed a need for improved load transfer between the jacket sleeves and main piles, necessitating a specialized grouting solution. Sika provided comprehensive engineering consultancy services and designed custom inlet systems to facilitate grout delivery in narrow annular spaces. The grouting process involved using SikaGrout®-9110, which ensured high strength and durability. The project was completed efficiently, meeting client objectives without extensive retrofitting or shutdowns, thereby extending the operational lifespan of the platform.
