This case study outlines the training initiative undertaken by Sikich to address the management training gap in Family and Medical Leave, Americans with Disabilities, and Workers’ Compensation for a municipality. The objective was to equip the management staff with a comprehensive understanding of these complex areas and their interrelations. Sikich conducted a three-hour on-site training session that exceeded client expectations in terms of engagement and participation. Following the initial training, three follow-up review sessions were scheduled to reinforce the material and address any challenges faced by the staff in applying the concepts. The client expressed gratitude for the additional sessions, which proved beneficial in solidifying the training. Post-training, the municipality continued to engage Sikich's HR Consulting Team for ongoing support, valuing the trainer's expertise and planning to establish annual training sessions. This collaboration highlights the effectiveness of tailored training solutions in enhancing managerial competencies within municipal operations.
