This case study details the optimization of a privileged access management (PAM) program for a top 100 U.S. bank, which faced challenges in operationalizing its CyberArk investment. The bank, with over $65 billion in assets, struggled with ineffective configuration, poor integration, and a lack of visibility into privileged sessions, leading to a high-risk environment. To address these issues, the bank engaged Simeio as an experienced identity security partner. Simeio conducted a full identity maturity assessment and re-implemented CyberArk as a Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) to standardize secure access. The solution included privileged session monitoring and policy enforcement, which improved visibility and reduced misuse risk. As a result, CyberArk license usage increased significantly, and the risk of privileged access abuse was reduced. The implementation was completed without disruption, leading to faster compliance reporting and allowing the bank's internal team to focus on core security initiatives.
