This case study details the implementation of Simetrik's automated reconciliation and financial control solutions at Monnet, a regional payment processor in Latin America. Monnet faced significant challenges due to manual reconciliation processes that consumed over 20 person-hours daily and created risks associated with delays and errors. By adopting Simetrik, Monnet achieved a 99% automation rate in its reconciliation processes, transitioning from weekly updates to T+1 frequency. The automation led to an 86% reduction in service level agreements (SLAs) and eliminated 94% of manual tasks. The study outlines various automated processes, including operational and bank reconciliation, chargeback management, and fee control. It highlights the effectiveness of the automated system, achieving a 98% reconciliation effectiveness rate and generating real-time journal entries. The case study concludes with a statement from Monnet's Payments Reconciliation Supervisor, emphasizing the transformation in operational efficiency and strategic focus resulting from the automation.
