Clatsop Community College Mass Notification Implementation

This case study details the implementation of InformaCast, a mass notification system at Clatsop Community College in Oregon. The college faced challenges in communicating critical information to its commuter student population, particularly during severe weather events that could disrupt operations. To address this, Clatsop adopted InformaCast to send SMS text, email, and audio messages directly to students' mobile devices, ensuring timely alerts regarding campus closures or emergencies. The system integrates with existing campus technology, including desk phones and digital signage, to broadcast alerts effectively. The flexibility of InformaCast allows administrators to send notifications from anywhere, enhancing the college's ability to inform students and staff promptly.
