Application Management Transformation Case Study

This case study details the transformation of the scholarship application process at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus through the implementation of SmarterSelect's application management platform. Previously, the scholarship application process was manual and paper-based, requiring significant time and effort from the Education and Program Manager, Jill R. Penafiel. The manual process involved opening mail, photocopying applications, and distributing them to reviewers, consuming approximately 85% of her time. With the introduction of SmarterSelect, the application process became automated and centralized, allowing all application components to be accessed in one platform. This change not only increased efficiency and organization but also enabled the university to launch 29 new programs since 2016.
