This case study outlines the successful relocation and modernization of SEGA Europe's office within a tight timeframe and budget constraints. SEGA Europe, a subsidiary of SEGA Corporation, faced an unexpected forced relocation due to the demolition of their Brentford office. They chose a new site at Chiswick Business Park, which required complete infrastructure development. The project involved designing and building meeting rooms and communal areas, with a focus on advanced AV capabilities and robust IT infrastructure for hybrid working. Softcat, in partnership with Carillion, provided strategic guidance and managed the complexity of the project. They reused 40% of existing hardware, which resulted in significant cost savings. The installation was completed in just over 30 days, and the new office features modern meeting spaces, digital signage, and a bespoke town hall area known as 'Club SEGA.' The project received positive feedback for enhancing collaboration and productivity, demonstrating effective support and responsiveness throughout the process.
