This document is a survey report that presents findings from the Solvinity Security Awareness Survey conducted in July 2020 among over 500 Dutch IT managers in companies with 200 or more employees. The survey aims to assess the perception of digital resilience among Dutch organizations in light of increasing cybercrime incidents. Despite alarming trends, a significant majority of IT managers, 88%, believe their organizations have control over their IT security. However, the report reveals a disconnect between perception and reality, as many organizations fail to install necessary patches and updates, with 80% admitting they do not apply all updates. The report outlines the lack of insight into vulnerabilities, with only 49% of respondents aware of their specific weaknesses. It discusses the importance of proactive measures, such as scanning for unauthorized software and hardening IT infrastructure, which only a fraction of organizations actively pursue. The findings highlight critical gaps in security awareness and practices within the surveyed organizations.
