This case study details the implementation of Instant Payments by a leading wealth management firm operating in the Netherlands and Belgium. The firm recognized the need to adopt Instant Payments to enhance its services and comply with evolving regulations. The objective was to implement this solution swiftly without disrupting existing services while managing operational costs. The bank partnered with Sopra Banking Software (SBS), leveraging its expertise and proven track record to facilitate a smooth integration process. Key components of the solution included the Payments Cloud Engine for payment initiation and processing, and the Instant Payment Clearing Exchange for interbank exchanges. The deployment commenced in mid-2022, with the service going live by the end of November 2022. Following the launch, the bank experienced significant transaction volumes, processing over 1 million incoming and 800,000 outgoing instant payments within the first year. The partnership with SBS has enabled the bank to enhance customer satisfaction through improved transaction speed and security.
