Summary
This case study details the integration of Speed Kit, a browser-based caching solution, by Sushi-Bikes, an e-bike store operating on Shopify. The objective was to enhance the shopping experience by improving page speed, particularly focusing on the Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) metric. Prior to the integration, Sushi-Bikes faced challenges in meeting customer demands for fast loading times despite attempts at image optimization. The integration of Speed Kit was completed swiftly, requiring only three clicks. Post-implementation results indicated a significant reduction in LCP loading times, with an overall improvement of 968ms, representing a 37% uplift. Product pages experienced an even greater enhancement, with LCP acceleration of 2296ms, equating to a 69% improvement.
