This document is a research article that presents findings from a study conducted on N-Tier transparency in supply chains. The research surveyed 250 Chief Procurement Officers (CPOs) and Chief Supply Chain Officers (CSCOs) to examine their strategies, challenges, and the tools they use to achieve greater visibility beyond Tier 1 suppliers. Key findings reveal that while some organizations have visibility beyond Tier 3 suppliers, many struggle with data accuracy and reliance on manual processes. The study highlights that 90% of respondents either use or plan to use N-Tier transparency tools, indicating a shift towards technology-driven solutions. Furthermore, half of the surveyed organizations allocate a significant portion of their budgets to enhance supply chain transparency. The article discusses barriers to achieving effective N-Tier mapping, such as high costs and complex global supply networks, and emphasizes the importance of adopting comprehensive technology solutions to mitigate operational and regulatory risks.
