This case study details the challenges faced by Vantage Infrastructure following its acquisition by Northill Capital and the subsequent need to establish independent finance and back-office functions. The firm, which specializes in infrastructure investments, was required to transition from its former parent company and implement a new client servicing operating model within a tight timeframe. The case study outlines the decision-making process of Vantage's Chief Operating Officer, Cameron Price, regarding the choice between building an in-house finance team or outsourcing services. Ultimately, Vantage opted for SS&C Vision FI, which provided an outsourced solution that closely replicated their previous in-house functions, particularly in client reporting. The implementation of Vision FI enabled Vantage to produce timely and accurate reports, integrate data from multiple systems, and maintain service levels with clients. The case study highlights the benefits of this solution, including cost efficiency, report customization, and improved data management, which collectively enhanced Vantage's operational capabilities.
